It has been indicated by new research that should obese dieters attempt to engage in low diets drastically, their bodies appear to undo the weight loss efforts, increasing the hardships faced by these people in the pursuit of their goals.

In order to verify the aforementioned theory, a series of tests on two groups of mice was formed by scientists. One of the mice groups was made to partake in a higher fat content diet in order to be rendered obese while the other group was place on a lower fat diet. The two mice groups were both made to undergo a day of fasting. It was observed from the outcomes of this that the obese mouse group lost less body weight, losing only five percent. In comparison, the other lower fat diet mouse group loss an incredible eighteen percent of their previous body weight. Scientists arrived at the conclusion that fasting was able to bring upon an anti-inflammatory effect in the neuroimmune system of the lean mice. Alternatively, this effect was inhibited and as a result was not as prominent by other animals that take on a diet high in fat.

A record of the activities of the mice was also made, this record included things such as: the behaviour, remembering and learning capability, weather they tended to exhibit signs of anxiety and depression and their overall performance.

With regards to human beings, those individuals that suffered from obesity would undoubtedly have to work more in order for them to overcome and outwit their brain chemistry. Besides from this, obese people cannot lose weight hastily. The general rule is that obese people that seek to lose weight should do so at a reasonable pace and in small stages while simultaneously acting in a consistent manner during the course of this. The outcomes of the study plainly indicate that working on any dieting routine while fasting at the same time will change brain chemistry. The change in brain chemistry would start to have an effect on the mood and diet levels of individuals; this could have a profound bearing on the entire weight loss program.

In order for obese people to attain success in their weight loss programs, they should try at all costs to avoid depression; they should try to remain motivated constantly.
